1. Too much normal experience is labelled as mental illness (self- & shifting diagnoses)
2. Medication is over-used, social interventions under- (the 2nd half of that is important)
3. This impacts on available help for those with severe difficulties

Question now for Dr Navina Evans from Subodh Dave ☘️🌻🌞 Humanising Medicine Royal College of Psychiatrists on how much priority is given to mental health in the NHS both in what we deliver and how we train. There has been a growth in psych training-is it now time (asks Subodh) for a psychiatrist as a Postgraduate Dean ? DEMEC23

1st question to Dr Navina Evans DEMEC23 is how we need to do better for our #neurodiverse colleagues in the NHS, and the impact on mental health (including a high rate of thinking of suicide) when this goes wrong (as it has too frequently). Moving people on/out damages us all.
