All emergency services have now left the scene

Some of the emergency service vehicles are now leaving the scene, however a couple remain

The River Goyt runs through both Woodbank Park and Vernon Park which sits next door

Cars are able to get in and out of the car park but the main pedestrian walkway to the park is taped off with a police car parked in front of it. Other pathways and routes into the large park appear to be accessible

I've just spoken to a woman who has been at the park and who says the emergency services were here when she arrived around 3pm. She says she was told by crews that it was 'not a fire' but was a 'confined space incident'

We're awaiting confirmation of the nature of this incident

There are currently three fire engines, a fire service technical response unit and a police car parked at the entrance to the park on Turncroft Lane

I'm at Woodbank Park in Offerton, Stockport there is currently a large emergency service presence
