Your best friends just watched their first Hitchcock films: a double-feature of Rear Window and North By Northwest. They loved them! Now, they want you to recommend another Hitch movie. What's your pick?

While Vertigo is my favorite, I'd recommend Shadow of a Doubt.

There is an interesting shift in tone in Love With the Proper Stranger. The first two-thirds is serious, culminating in the abortion scene. It then becomes lighter as Rocky evolves from a ladies man to a smitten one and Angie’s becomes more independent.

Classic Film TV Cafe Gypsy, she brings such a lovely innocence to Louise and then pulls the stops out for the over the top scene with Rose at the end. Not a great movie but I will watch repeatedly just for her. Also she is so gosh darn beautiful in The Great Race.

I think Natalie Wood’s best film was Splendor in the Grass. Still, she’s splendid in Love With the Proper Stranger. She had a string of fine performances in the 1960s.

But he's billed as 'And introducing Tom Bosley as Columbo.' So confusing...since he played Father Dowling...not Lt. Columbo. 😃

Since @TCM is celebrating the late great Glynis Johns tonight, I'm reminded how delighted I was (after losing track of her and missing out on her stage successes) to see her show up for a hilarious later career turn in The Ref ('94) as the incredibly unpleasant mother.

On Shirley MacLaine's birthday, I'm wondering...why is it so hard to get an affordable DVD copy of THE TURNING POINT (1977)? Why hasn't it (apparently) stayed in print, and why isn't there a Blu-ray? 🤔 If anyone has insight into this title I'd love info!

Natalie Wood’s character works at Macy’s in Love With the Proper Stranger. Did Kris Kringle help her get the job?

Paul J. Coyne, A.C.E Classic Film TV Cafe Pluto TV I remember him talking about this in an interview in a pre-ESB Star Wars annual. Back in the days when it would’ve been A Gene Wilder Film as opposed to A Harrison Ford Film. But I’ve never seen it!

Classic Film TV Cafe I saw Frantic in the theater, and really liked it. But for home viewing, it was only available in full screen for the longest time. So frustrating. Now you can see in the proper aspect ratio. Whew! I love that film. It's has proved to be a good rewatch.🙂👍

Classic Film TV Cafe Pluto TV Since 'The Frisco Kid' was named I'll go with dare I say an even lesser known performance and film, 'Heros'. It stars Henry Winkler & Sally Field. Its a road picture but more. Harrison's is a small supporting role and his first after Star Wars. The cast is wonderful together.
