Boeing have been cleared to resume 737 Max test flights. We've just loaded their new software into our flight simulator.

It appears the LIAT name may yet live on again, in a new airline to be created by the governments of the various Caribbean islands to which LIAT provides such vital air links.

Very sad to see LIAT (formally Leeward Islands Air Transport) is to be liquidated, for not the first time in its history. It started out as a subsidiary of BWIA, at that time owned by BOAC until 1967. Then 75% owned by Courtline until their 1974 bankruptcy, hence HS748 liveries.

COVID shook the airline business to the core. I went through the rebuild after 9/11 and I thought, “I’ll never go through something that bad again.”
