Delighted to share that Ik Shin Chin passed her PhD viva Institute of Cancer and Genomic Sciences (UoB) earlier this week. Momentous day for her and the Palles lab -she is PhD number one! Thanks to examiners Marc Haber مارك and David Church & chair John Halsall & of course @CRUKBirmingham & Midlands for funding this clinical PhD!
Today we remember Dame Deborah James ( Deborah James ). She was an inspiration, and we’re proud to call her our patron and friend. She was a beacon of light whose legacy will continue to save lives for many years to come💛

Practice changing results from AIIMS, New Delhi. Topical diclofenac reduces grade 2 + Capecitabine induced HFS. Interesting that lower HFS was seen in placebo group too.
