I think many assistants have forgotten that their primary role is to make the head coaches life easier!

It can be a thankless job BUT that is the underlying purpose! Make their lives easier and make them look better!

A mom told me she was being told her son has to play on the top AAU…

I always enjoy watching Illinois play because you can see this in their game.

My 7-year-old missed practice this week. He came off the bench the next game after starting the previous games.

Our convo today:

Son: Since I’m going to practice this week, will I start on Saturday?

Me: I have no idea ask your coach.

That’s how it’s done right parents? 😂

My freshman year at Baylor I was MISERABLE because i went from avg 30ppg in high school to playing 5 minutes a game at Baylor. My mom took upon herself to go talk to Coach Mulkey behind my back... lol here’s how that went.
