NIMBYs try to deny what the data undeniably communicates: all else being equal, denser homes are cheaper homes.

Big lesson this year for current and future city councillors: always raise taxes by at least inflation.

Raising taxes by 0% is a tax decrease in real terms that you will get ZERO credit for.

Question for my fellow Edmonton planning nerds: what if we just deleted the specific node and corridor delineations from district plans and accepted everything else in them?

Why not simply revert back to the fuzzy borders in the City Plan? Good idea? Bad idea?

This is appaling, multiple officers and a helicopter in pursuit of someone because they didn't have bike lights. EPS continues to demonstrate astonishingly unethical judgement, if EPS isn't interested in working towards the public good then it doesn't deserve public money. #yegcc

There is no rent control that works as well as a high vacancy rate.

Strong rent controls cannot beat giving renters housing options and choice.

Make landlords compete, instead of renters.

Tim Querengesser People like to rip on bike lanes, but I've had more than one developer tell me that the reason they've built dense housing on 102 Ave/124 St. are is partly because of bike lanes. So, there is a return to that investment.
