When I say #DropletDogmaKills it’s because the word “droplet” is defined erroneously in IPAC field. The actual science underpinning its definition is *wrong*.

Of course it’s not the word itself. It’s the *error* in the reasoning.

We built schools, community centres, day care, aged care, and even our own home wrong.

We then built hospitals wrong, all over the world.

Very expensive and dangerous semantics leaving every country open to airborne disease attack.

We called it droplet and pretended they actually behaved like ballistic projectiles.

At the end of the day, if we had called it droplet, but then recognised these droplets float and therefore put in the correct mitigations of respirators and clean air… we might have got away with it.

But we didn’t.

And physics doesn’t care what we call it…

You see, the problem is, you can change how you use a word across different disciplines, but if you can’t explain why you did that satisfactorily…

Well… then you are just ignoring inconvenient findings.

They can, and did, and got it wrong, and people died.
