ABIGAIL is going to take some beating as my favourite film of 2024. A riotously entertaining bloodbath from start to finish that reminded me of my first time seeing THE GUEST (and not just because Dan Stevens is a national treasure). See it in a cinema while you can.

Spent the weekend watching the entire LEPRECHAUN series, which is certainly an experience. Some wild ups and downs in there – but well worth it to catch up with LEPRECHAUN RETURNS, written by the excellent Suzanne Keilly. A double bill with the original would be great fun.

THE INVISIBLE MAN was the last film I saw in a cinema before lockdown. I loved it then, but I hadn't revisited it since until tonight. A second watch confirms it's one of my favourite genre films of the last 25 years, and boasts a jump scare that has now nearly killed me twice...
