Farmworkers and their families deserve a better life. Farm workers are now treated worse than under apartheid. Their children are chased from the farms when they reach the age of 18. Conditions of many houses on farms are equivalent to pig sties.

The purpose of the march is to stop exploitation, low salaries, farm evictions and slave labor on farms. Labor brokers and piecework just worsens the poverty of farmworkers.
