Kobe on mastering the basics:

“Kobe was going through an intense warm up before his scheduled workout started with his trainer.

I sat down to watch.

For the first 45 minutes I was actually shocked.

For the first 45 minutes I watched the best player in the world do the most

Just a friendly reminder that the Spring (March -- June) is going to ASK the question of 'how' you navigated Nov -- Feb.

How much Shut Down?

How much Rest?

Keep Going?

Loved doing this DEEP dive w/ Nunzio Signore re this often complicated period.

Parents get 2 things mixed up when it comes to recruiting

They think being good enough is easy so they invest little

They think visibility is hard so they invest a lot

HS ball players:
Next 1-3 weeks are big.

Evaluate ‘22 season, reflect on what went well & what didn’t, & set goals for the next 12m.

What needs to improve? Challenge it.
Body need a break? Take it.
Fall ball? If yes, why?

12m from now, what gets you to where you want to be?

Bobby Tewksbary I recruit both but prefer HS games over travel ball. If I get a name through a connect or if a player stands out, the first thing I’m doing is talking to their HS coach. Grades, work ethic, teammate, leadership, adversity - these traits/scenarios are amplified in a HS environment
