Today’s the day! Dartmouth 🌲 astronomers studying today’s eclipse continue a legacy of pioneering discoveries—including one of the first spectroscopic measurements of the solar corona, by Charles Young ’53, a professor 1866-1877, who is highlighted in this doc by NOVA | PBS ⤵️ 🤩

While we'll be just south of totality, the sun will still be 98% obscured by the moon this afternoon. The eclipse starts at 2:15 p.m. and will hit a peak of totality at 3:28 p.m. before waning back to normal by 4:38 p.m.
