Great time for our student-athletes and staff at the Dartmouth 🌲 solar eclipse event on the green today!
#TheWoods 🌲 | #GoBigGreen
Today’s the day! Dartmouth 🌲 astronomers studying today’s eclipse continue a legacy of pioneering discoveries—including one of the first spectroscopic measurements of the solar corona, by Charles Young ’53, a professor 1866-1877, who is highlighted in this doc by NOVA | PBS ⤵️ 🤩
Join us on the Green to safely view the eclipse. Eclipse glasses and refreshments will be provided, thanks to Rockefeller Center, the Office of the Provost, and the Department of Physics & Astronomy.
