I genuinely don’t think those who express this kind of sentiment are actually aware of how hypocritical they are.
Several years ago, when told on social media that I “could not be Scottish AND British”, I was informed by a police officer acquaintance that this WAS a #HateCrime .

I know many families feel that high standing charges are unfair and make it harder to cut down their monthly bill.
