This is powerful. The Missouri GOP decided to not give federal food aid to needy children because they weren't sure it would exclude ineligible people. They decided to let thousands in need suffer without help out of fear a small few would get aid. Cruelty is the point.

If I ran a national newsroom and saw polls showing that the public was badly misinformed on crime and the economy, I’d see that as a media failure in need of correction, and I’d assign stories about how crime is down and the economy is strong by almost all measures. Just saying.
