'Anyone who actually works in an emergency department could have told you that low acuity patients are not the issue. . .The main problem is that departments are overwhelmed with sick patients lined up on trolleys waiting to be admitted.'

The healthy volunteer effect + the Hawthorn effect + observational data implying causation rather than hypothesis generating.
What could possibly be wrong with that?

London has the highest number of measles cases in England with low MMR vaccine uptake making the city particularly vulnerable. If you are an unimmunised young adult or the parent of an unimmunised child, the NHS is offering catch-up MMR vaccinations. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan…

43% of UK medical academic workforce is 55+. 14% 66+. Fabulous to have these experienced colleagues but these figures raise concerns for me about how robust our academic pipeline is. (BMA membership stats)

Calling London!
I am hoping to do some EDI/cultural competence work in South West London. I am looking for health professional educators who are based in or could travel to the SW London/St George’s area to deliver workshops to colleagues. Any suggestions or contacts?

It’s crucial generalists are vakued as much as our specialist colleagues. Pre 2000s we had more GPs than specialists, there is now 0.6 of a GP per specialist. Healthcare outcomes are better when the system has primary care and generalism at its foundations
