Just over a 1000 words today. Quite tired so that'll do. Might plant up some tomatoes this afternoon.

I'm only about twenty pages into an advance copy of Once Was Willem by M.R.Carey and it is wonderful. Utterly entranced by the use of language in it. Been struggling to settle into a book recently but this has fixed that.

Right. electrics are going off for most of today, so lets see if I can beat 1800 words without any distractions. (Which I generally find quite distracting)

This takes the series to a whole new level, all the semi-epistolary space spaghetti western cosmic horror action you could hope for. Structurally and narratively it is a bold step forward- 10/10, will have nightmares about again

I feel in a pretty good place with writing right now. My next book was a fast easy write, a murder mystery in a decidedly odd world with, I think, my most likeable set of characters. Spaace Caats is a banger. And my personal project which may be hard to place but I love.

Just seen there's no audiobook for Liz Truss' book. If they did do one really should get Beaker from the muppets to read it.

Back to writing words, then later on some harsh bonsai pruning for 'tis the season.
