Our Metro system in the North East is similarly disdainful.

Most folk will (rightly) turn up to the station and find out only then, that lift is out.

E.g. advice is to 'travel to the next station' which is either 1.4 or 2.7 miles- with some of the worst pavement surfaces.

Of all the issues to tackle, Care England, decide denying disabled people caffeinated drinks, is the cause to get behind.

Why not the falls from understaffing or
even the 18 preventable deaths of people with a learning disability or autism in care settings by choking?

Taxpayer money worth £37 billion was misappropriated on a broken test and trace system.

On average, every person in the UK is £7,000 worse off.

Attacking disabled people to distract from this economic mismanagement is unjust. fullfact.org/health/test-an….

Rishi continues to “undermine the human dignity” of disabled people.

His messaging is both deliberately damaging to the disabled community as well as a distraction from failing to respond to the needs of all people in the UK.

Rishi is attempting to distracting us from the government's failure to tackle increasingly long NHS waiting lists. Everyone in the UK is struggling to get a GP appointment, see a consultant or get a fair go at PIP tribunals.

Rishi Sunak’s attack on disabled people as a distraction for his failures is emblematic of why the UN condemned the UK government on their ‘grave and systemic’ human rights abuses. bylinetimes.com/2024/03/11/uni…

Meanwhile:

The UN found that government policy has “undermined the human dignity” of disabled people, they also found disabled people are “demonised” by the government
