My 2008 Acura won’t adjust the clock anymore. I’ve tried and so has the dealership.
We’ve now entered into the 6 months of the year where I have to add 1 to the time, which isn’t too bad.
When I move two time zones east this summer and have to add 3, it’s going to be a challenge!

Keep in mind this change is NOT accounting for inflation which is 42% since 2008 so actual Medicare surgeon payment has actually gone down 41% since 2008.
Can’t imagine any other profession taking such a pay cut and still existing.

Unfortunately, turning USMLE Step I to pass/fail crushes DOs as it was a chance to objectively prove we are on the same level as MD applicants.

Here is a nice schematic from our first @aahks health policy fellowship meeting outlining what everyone is discussing - reimbursements to hospitals have a law factoring in inflationary benefit while physicians do not
