Last week, Downing hosted the First Story Young Writers Festival. 300 secondary school children aged between 12 and 16 enjoyed a packed day of workshops, readings, and performances, as well as a tour of the College.

In a special event to celebrate Cambridge University Library crime fiction exhibition, Murder by the Book. Its curator, Downing alum Nicola Upson (1988), is joined by fellow author Andrew Taylor to explore the craft behind our most widely read genre.
