Al-Shifa hospital in #Gaza this morning, following the end of the latest Israeli siege.

I repeat: hospitals must be respected and protected; they must not be used as battlefields.

Yesterday (31 March) at noon an Israeli airstrike hit the yard of the Al Aqsa hospital compound in Gaza where many internally displaced people are sheltering, just outside of the emergency room. People were killed and injured.

A World Health Organization (WHO) team was on a humanitarian mission at Al-Aqsa Hospital in #Gaza , when a tent camp inside the hospital compound was hit by an Israeli airstrike today. Four people were killed and 17 injured. WHO staff are all accounted for.
