Here's an ad for a PA 'working as an autonomous, accountable, associate physician'.

This is a patient safety disaster 🤷‍♀️

In what possible way does this impair this doctor’s ability to care for patients?!

This is a dangerous attack on doctors’ freedom of speech and freedom to peacefully protest.

In my role I speak to GPs up & down the country. They all now say ‘enough is enough’. We are witnessing the constructive dismissal of NHS Gen Practice by this govt. We General Practice wrote to NHS England & govt to say we’re in dispute. There’s more to come from GPs. Watch this space…

Tim Ricketts Flex Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals 💙 We don’t have PAs (yet) but have lost several training opportunities to ACPs. SAU completely ACP run so FYs can’t clerk surgical patients. Meanwhile the FYs do ward round and letters. UTC is ACP run so ED trainees don’t see minors. All drains now done by ACP so can’t learn them.

I was already questioning what I got for the 10% hike in college subs to £609 per year…. But £20 pay per view to hear one of the colleges own Trustees …. Sorry that’s a step too far IMHO. Really considering if I can make a £609 “efficiency saving” right now to use NHS speak
