Deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly attended a special afternoon tea event with the Royal British Legion Women’s Section Branch in Hillsborough today. The event was organised to raise money for the RBL Women’s Section Benevolent Fund.

Imposing such a standardised compulsory curriculum on schools would fail to respect diversity in the school system and in wider society, and would be fundamentally undemocratic.

Some in the that meeting are known to Mr Tennyson. In fact some of them would have been his former voters!

Child poverty is a scourge and we must take concrete action to tackle it. I will be bringing an anti poverty strategy to the Executive so we can collectively address its causes and impacts.

Delighted to visit Ulster University Coleraine Campus to hear of its continued success and plans for growth.

Its multi-campus nature makes it a vital asset to communities across Northern Ireland.

We all want to see investment and growth of student numbers at all of these campuses.

We recently had a good and productive session with local DUP reps in Coleraine to discuss a range of local and corporate issues.

We look forward to continuing engagement across all areas in the time ahead.
