This is interesting and shows what one instinctively feels to be right: that councils with scant / ineffective opposition perform badly, like Southwark Council & Lambeth Council (who find themselves very low down the list). Croxted Clean Air too Clean Air For All Dulwich

It’s clear, even a small increase to traffic on already congested Red Routes can result in total gridlock. 👇🏾

Croxted averages around 7-800 outside 2 nurseries.
Dulwich is broken from the LTNs.
Sadly, there are individuals, groups & organisations using air pollution and climate change to progress their own agenda. They use the suffering of the most vulnerable to gain support for schemes like LTNs that worsens the status quo for those already most at risk. #deplorable
Moreover, not only were people not warned about the effects, they were told that in a matter of months the traffic - and by implication negative health consequences - would evaporate. None of that happened. Guy's and St Thomas' Healthy Streets Scorecard Impact on Urban Health Chris Francis Croxted Clean Air too James McAsh
For the record this schemes is the brainchild of England’s Cycling Czar, former racing cyclist, Chris Boardman and England’s foremost bike lane designer.
George Monbiot George, why have you ignored the obvious social, racial & environmental injustice of exporting traffic from roads with high car ownership onto community roads where poor people & people of colour are more likely to live, walk, shop, work, learn & play? 😢

Please come and see this. And CROXTED. It’s horrible for families here. Horrible. Dangerous and unfair. Plans for CROXTED? Tom Violins
The children who need the most protection live on main rds. @mumsforlungs advocates for LTNs that force those kids to shoulder an even greater pollution burden.
