Why does cancer evoke so much talk of conflict?

Ruby was a lover not a fighter. A dyed in the wool pacifist who avoided all forms of conflict.

She was the child in the kindergarten playground trying to broker a peace-deal between friends who had fallen out.

In year 10 they hatched a plan to one day be PM & Deputy PM.

In year 11 they were appointed head girl & deputy head girl at their school, The Charter School North Dulwich - & they joked that this was the first step on their path to #10
