Also this πŸ‘‡

If you’re a physics teacher who’s unhappy in your current context, know that you are very much in demand.

If you’re in charge of a physics/science department (or in charge of a school) then you *have* to look after your physics teachers.

If you don’t retain them, then recruitment & replacing them will be very very hard.

I definitely haven’t wasted half of my day going down a rabbit hole of stroboscopes and how AQA got the diagram from this book from the 60s

During a solar eclipse, the gaps between leaves on trees act as multiple pinhole cameras,

Took Ella to the aquarium as she’s just super interested in looking at things.

Bless her, she spent the whole time like 😯

I reckon it’s worth getting the Leidenfrost effect into GCSE physics lessons.

Relevant for particle model & thermal energy transfer lessons

It's been a while since I wrote a thing - here's a KS3 sheet on exothermic and endothermic reactions.

Writing things like this used to take me less than hour. Something about being a parent has made this take 3 days....

I *will* finish the KS3 books.

Right, the 'Science Doctor Chemistry KS3 workbook' has been like 80% finished for nearly a year.

Reckon it might be time to push this one over the finish line.

(green is what's written, red is what's left to write).

I'll probably write another thing on this but I'm putting together some internal CPD on reducing workload.

Here are my six principles of reducing workload:
