Senate Appropriations Committee is one of us as they too are âsurprisedâ by U.S. National Science Foundationâs decision to quit funding JOIDES Resolution đ
But, seems like theyâre okay with options for a new drill ship to continue #SciOD
Thanks to everyone who helped make our first year of #Accessible #Sharks #REU program a success, from the students to the mentors to the institutions, thank you for being willing to learn and grow with us. The science y'all did was amazing! #NSF Funded #NSF #DisabledInSTEM
The loss of JOIDES Resolution with no replacement plans is absolutely catastrophic. Yes, there are still gravity and piston cores, but even the longest of those can only collect a few tens of meters of core - anything deeper in time is completely lost.
