Is Air conditioning being over looked as a viable heat source??

I think we could be missing a trick. AC offers the following

Better co-efficiency than ASHP
Cheaper/easier to install
Can be installed in stages
Localised control / zoning at room level
Can also provide cooling

Maintenance is so important when it comes to running efficient plant. The prolonged lack if maintenance has in this case lead to catastrophic failure meaning significant down time and costly replacement. Remove maintenance at your peril #savingenergyeverywhereigo #reliabilitygang

Chillers big consumers of energy very few of them sub metered. Chillers left unmaintained will consume more energy and when not submetered will go unnoticed.

Solution is to meter get familiar with consumption so an anomaly is quickly identified.

Post audit meeting discussing upgrading gas fired burner to an electrified heat source. Which would cost more to run.

The client appreciates the commercial benefit of net zero and the potential to win more contracts as a result.

This is what real leadership looks like

Server room 2 AC units providing cooling at 2 different set points. This means they work against each other meaning neither achieve set point and both run 24/7. This is Energy waste that easily goes unnoticed and it is very easy to correct. #savingenergyeverywhereigo #serverroom
