The Tories are extremely corrupt, in case there is any confusion about this point. If they were a developing country the World Bank would not lend them money.

Walthamstow.

It's been one of the safest Labour seats in the country - but more and more people ready to vote Green.

Whether it's our policies to nationalise our public services, our solidarity with workers or our consistent call for a ceasefire.

The future is Green.

I love this. I once read (the FT?) that the 3 industries with the highest profit margins where perfume, bottled water, and academic publishing! We write the papers, edit the journals, review the papers (all for free!), and they make massive profits. Stuck in a bad equilibrium.

Had a great time in London this week at SOAS Development Leadership Dialogue

I co-delivered a lecture on “Critical Minerals for the Green Transition & Econ Diversification” and facilitated a discussion on “policy instruments…” as part of the “Industrial Policy in an Age of Eco Crisis” program 🌟 1/

Very interesting. This helps me understand my own discomfort with a lot of positionality statements.

I’ve also read similar critiques by indigenous scholars of land recognition statements.

NEW: my column this week is about the coming vibe shift, from Boomers vs Millennials to huge wealth inequality *between* Millennials.

Current discourse centres on how the average Millennial is worse-off than the average Boomer was, but the richest millennials are loaded 💸🚀

China's prosperity are built on:

1️⃣Industrial foundation during Mao era, with Soviet help, which was the biggest organized industry transfer in history.

2️⃣Reform & opening up, building up the biggest foreign-exchange reserve.

Why India doesn't have any of these 2.
