Euphonik™♛ If there is one thing I learned from being in this House Music industry is that you can’t please everyone.
If something feels good to you and others don’t feel it then it is what it is.
The beauty of life is we all aren’t the same.
Enjoy what you love the rest will follow. ❤️🙏🏼

The ENTIRE urban/“black scene” used to ridicule us for playing EDM. They said we sold out and were playing “white music”. But play “Changes”, Titanium and Don’t you worry child at any black festival/party and see what happens. Championing means you move things forward.

Maskandi songs blow up at the taxi rank and in taxis first. All the artists start there. Some of the Kentphonik songs were bigger in that ecosystem than anywhere else first.

Exactly. How lazy can you be? 🤯 even if you just researched the most shazamed songs in a different country and compared that to what’s happening locally you’d break some gems ahead of the curve.

If you’re standing outside the club and can’t guess who’s playing just by listening that dj might as well be a jukebox. Most “Djs” can’t even read a crowd🤦🏾‍♂️

Technology and new times are hard to keep up with that’s why if you don’t stay ahead of the curve you die! Most artists don’t even know what their ecosystems look like because they leave it to labels and when labels drop them they don’t even know how to start again.

Thank G-D. Imagine having a potential hit and your destiny relied on whether someone was in the mood to play your song 🤯

Of course they can. You don’t like every song on an album. The point is for the radio guys to look out for what isn’t popular, released or unreleased, and make it big. Example: “Chris Malinchak - So good to me” was already released a year before we found it and championed it.

My first day in radio I started with “DJ Sdoko - Boozoom Base”. That was the anthem for the year. Unknown dj, unknown producer, unreleased song.

You stop listening to something that isn’t compelling. That’s the whole point. Technology aside if content isn’t compelling you don’t engage it. Radio is always there. The podcasts and streams you hunt.

I got unreleased “Liquideep - Fairytale” in July 2009. Played it weekly on . It got so crazy that they had to react to the hype we created. Micasa’s first single was These Streets. I liked “Heavenly Sent” and only ever played that. That’s how you champion songs.

Agreed but you can’t tell me no one on radio gets to work excited to break a new song that people haven’t heard. Who’s breaking new songs on radio?

Radio used to make songs big and now they play big songs. 🤦🏾‍♂️ if I’m wrong which song in the last 5 years has been made popular by radio? I’ll listen on the air.
