And then once you get into mental health, eugenics, racism, and bio-essentialism have a field day bc there are still biases that manifest into political scapegoating and institutional violence where deliberate misdiagnoses are given to oppressed populations.

Scientists are influenced by cultural biases.

There are medical textbooks that are still in print and used in curriculums that teach future doctors that say that black people are immune to pain. This screencap went around twt as late as 2017.
