There's plenty of age appropriate queer media for children, including books & history. There's nothing wrong with preventing your children from watching/reading certain things until they're a certain age.

Without linking to the post or starting too much controversy, I don't think very young children (prepubescent) should watch adult media, even with adult supervision.
