The government say they want to help people with mental health problems get back into work. If so, they need to be serious about investing in chronically underfunded mental health services. And they need to meet with the experts. We await the full details of the consultation. 3/3

People don't choose to be on disability benefits. It's their last resort.

Absolutely heartbreaking. How on earth can the HSE insist on “cutting back on agency staff and overtime” when cases like Aoife’s are happening. There were half the number of nurses on that night than what would have been considered safe staffing.
