Good to hear from Liz Truss. She wants to abolish UK Supreme Court because held Rwanda was not safe country. Court of Appeal took same view so they presumably should also be abolished. Presumably underlying principle is courts that find against government should be abolished.

Confirmed by sources: RAF has been involved in the defence of Israel tonight:

Rumours, not confirmed, that RAF Typhoons from Akrotiri, Cyprus are involved in protecting Israel tonight.

I have been told though that more Typhoons were sent to Akrotiri on Friday in anticipation of an Iranian attack.

I am not sure that the UK should be getting involved in kinetic action. Israel is more than capable of dealing with Iran without our help.

Today marks the first time in history Iran has launched a direct attack on Israel.

Supreme Leader of Iran has spoken. I suspect the drone attack will merely be the first wave of the Iranian attack on Israel. Also expect cruise and ballistic missiles. The real question is just how big the Israel response will be.
