✅ Great study showing that gallbladder drainage using LAMS is a decent option for treating cholecystitis
✅ Outcomes are good and adverse events are reasonably low 👍🏻
✅ Congrats to Belen Martinez Moreno and José Ramón Aparicio and Team!

Very interesting study in this month’s ⁦GIE⁩ on *suprapapillary* biliary stenting—a term most in the U.S. don’t use very often. Inside plastic stents (iPSs) for malignant hilar obstruction is not common here. Editorial too 👍🏼

What NOT to do - tattoo placed right on an adenoma sent for EMR.

Here is post resection.

SM has tattoo .. great job by our advanced fellow Thayer Nasereddin, MD who is getting quite good at handling these !!

Tattoo is preferred on opposite wall or at least 3 cm away

We had a hospitalist who always had the lowest length of stay. We asked him how he did it:

'Every day, I ask every patient 'what do I need to do to get you home?''

It seems harsh at first but could be a good way to address barriers and keep that conversation going.

Traction for difficult and failed cannulation; great for challenging papilla within a diverticulum. Have great success w it. ERCP scope channel can accommodate 2 devices; very helpful. Any thoughts -experience with this?
