St. Paschal Baylon was a young shepherd boy who had a great devotion for the Eucharist. He joined the Franciscans & became a brother in his early twenties and lived a life of penance. Let us all pray to have such love for the Eucharist as he did. St. Paschal Baylon, pray for us!

In Fatima, Portugal, on this day 107 years ago, three children were playing when they saw a flash of light. Appearing before them was our Blessed Mother and she did so 5 more times, each time asking them to pray the rosary daily. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us!

St. Ignatius of Laconi ignored his promise to God to join the OFM, until one day, he was in an accident while riding his horse but was completely unharmed. He felt God had spared him and decided to finally become a Franciscan. St. Ignatius of Laconi, OFM, pray for us! 🙏

Miraculous Detail #2: Our Lady asked Juan Diego to collect roses to give to the bishop as proof that she had indeed requested a church be built in her honor. These roses were Castilian roses from the same region in Spain where the bishop is from and not native to Mexico.

Take refuge in the fact that God delights in you because you are His. There is always consolation in God's unconditional love for us - His children.

May is the Month of Mary. Weekly, we'll highlight a special detail about Our Lady of Guadalupe, whose name the province bears. The tilma she is pictured on is made of cactus fiber, which has a lifespan of 20 to 50 years, but it's been intact since 1531, making it 493 years old.
