Next week's nuclear conference in Isfahan is loudly advertising a visit from IAEA Dir. Grossi, which neither the director nor agency have confirmed.

FWIW there has been considerable debate in re: nuclear policy since the exchange with Israel. icnst2024.com

Imo, there are two competing interpretations:

1) Israel did not believe the attack was overly escalatory, and miscalculated re: both the impact and the oversight with the US.

2) Israel intended the attack to be escalatory and withheld information from the US deliberately.

Safavi commenting on Israel's assassination of Zahedi and others in Syria:

'In my opinion, they had infiltrators – at the airport and other places…They are monitoring all phone lines in Syria, and they were aware of his precise location.”

Would wait for more sourcing on this before jumping to any conclusions: media is reporting Israel has assassinated an IRGC officer inside .

Would be very strange for Israel to publicly acknowledge this kind of thing. jpost.com/breaking-news/…

Publicly, there has been sudden and (it would seem) strong momentum toward a ceasefire, including apparent Israeli moderation on key issues.

One wonders what sort of messages are being conveyed in private.
