While in South Africa, the @GirlsAlliance, Clooney Foundation for Justice, @GatesFoundation, Girls Not Brides, and Girls First Fund came together to discuss our collective efforts to empower young women and end child marriage worldwide.

Our thoughts are with President Carter, the entire Carter family, and the The Carter Center community today, as the world honors the legacy of Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter.

This week, I'm in Malawi with @MelindaGates and Amal Clooney as part of our work together to advance gender equality and help end child marriage. We’re visiting programs like AGE Africa that are supporting girls to pursue their dreams.

Last week, we brought together more than 50 girls’ empowerment leaders from community-led organizations across Chicago. We’re proud to support these leaders and work together to create more opportunities for girls across the city we call home.
