Congratulations to Nigeria's ex-international and a worthy son of Bayelsa State, Finidi George, for his appointment as new Head Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Today, I joined workers in Bayelsa State to celebrate the 2024 May Day at the Peace Park, Yenagoa where I made some pronouncements on the new minimum wage, construction of a new befitting State Secretariat and other welfare issues.

Today, I hosted in Yenagoa, a meeting of the Governors of the South-South States under the BRACED Commission.
Thanks to our chairman, the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki (GGO) for providing the needed leadership in our journey to a better regional co-operation and development.

This morning in Yenagoa, I declared open a 3-day orientation programme for our newly elected Local Government Chairmen, their respective Vice Chairmen and the 105 Councillors.

I was joined by the Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, to the event.
