Let’s head to the vineyard with Grape King Erwin Wiens for an update on what growers are up to right now. Winter pruning is underway and many have been picking Icewine with these cold temps and testing wine machines to help protect the vines through the winter.

This temperature drop means many of our growers have been busy picking Icewine grapes. Ontario is one of the world’s leading producers of Icewine. Our hot summers and cold winters are ideal for Icewine as the grapes are harvested when frozen on the vine.
