Always good to pop by Peveril Gardens & Presse Cafe at Bricklayers Arms - a project made possible with local CGS funding & the London Mayor’s Sadiq Khan Good Growth Fund 🤝 🌹
Out this evening on the Rockingham for Sadiq Khan & Marina Ahmad AM Not long to go! Vote Labour to keep the Tories out on 2nd May!
The sick leave culture trope is popular, scroungers etc but appears to have little basis in reality compared to every other European country…. #evidencematters (chart from Resolution Foundation )
I was pleased to write this piece about Investing in Infrastructure for the Fabian Society - Local Government and Housing Homes for London pamphlet which was launched last night 👇🏻 Making the case for the BLE drawing on our record of delivering over 50% affordable housing on the Old Kent Rd…
Off to post my vote for Sadiq Khan Marina Ahmad AM & The Labour Party 🌹 A POSITIVE agenda for London:
- free school meals
- freezing TfL fares
- 40,000 new council homes
- the Bakerloop & BLE
- a plan to end rough sleeping
- action on air quality
And a vote to stop the Tories!
This is why Sadiq Khan is mayor London needs - we should eradicate hunger and not need food banks, but baby banks helping families with costs of kids and to reuse and recycle should be the norm because kids go through so much! Proud labour leading this - amp.theguardian.com/politics/2024/…
Incredibly important & powerful article in this week’s The New Statesman on birth trauma from Hannah Barnes Thanks for your honesty and for shining spotlight on women’s health. We must do better: newstatesman.com/politics/healt…
Thanks to CllrCatherineRose for joining me this morning in Chaucer Ward. Continuing to get the postal vote out for Sadiq Khan Marina Ahmad AM on the Tabard 🌹 ✅ 🗳️
Brilliant to hear Sadiq Khan pledge to end rough sleeping in London by 2030. London made huge progress on this under the last Labour government & we have the chance to do it again with a Labour Mayor & a future Labour government.
