As Richard says, the 'slippery slope' line is a tired agreement that gets rolled out every time.
There is no grey area with smoking - it is dangerous. As Steve Brine MP said in the debate, smoking must be one of the only products that, if you follow the instructions, it will kill you

Patient need in deprived areas is greater, but #generalpractice in the poorest areas of England is under-funded and under-doctored relative to the richest areas. Little wonder that access is harder, and people turn elsewhere
