Getting a drunken phone call from an agent at noon on a Sunday claiming that I hadn't sent over a call sheet for a shoot *the day before* which we had sent the agency four days before the shoot and which they had acknowledged receipt of is not the high point of this job.

There are directors who get all weird and power-trippy and reserve 'cut' for themselves, but I treat it like a safeword. Anyone on set can call cut if they are in or see an unsafe situation.

Just don't call cut because we're short on film. :-)
