The other day learned of an author with the pen name of 'bell hooks', apparently to decenter herself and draw attention to her work instead. That last bit is truly admirable (and rare) I just wish she had stuck with proper nouns.

For various reasons I've been keeping an eye on the usage statistics of Google Fonts Madimi and Ojuju (which came out at the same time, with comparable fanfare) and for some reason the former is about four times more popular than the latter... Any guesses as to why?

I wasn't sure about the relevance of that heavy shape at the end, but it turns out it's an homage to the cartouche in the old logo. Cool.
