Here's the text of a letter I sent earlier this week to the President of Tulane University, after he had the fledgling student encampment there violently broken up by cops on horseback, with 14 people arrested:

this was a shitpost, but i've been struck how the only way institutions imagine neutrality or preserving freedom of expression is through compliance. several colleges and universities rejected/returned federal funds because of part of a loyalty oath in 1958, for instance.
