Today, Nicola Salusso Diaconia Valdese and colleagues presented on how essential it is to build a support base in increasingly superdiverse societies; Nicola shared Valdese's experience of mediation and support networks from their employment placement services in Italy #euswc2024

The model, supported by HEX/EPER from Switzerland, has been running for years across municipalities in Serbia, is aimed at helping members of vulnerable groups; most of them Roma, who live in poor housing conditions and are at risk of energy poverty. #euswc2024

Later, Slađana Jovanović, EHO, presented a successful model of working with socially vulnerable communities in Serbia called DDM (dweller driven settlement upgrading model)

DIACONIA ESPAÑA and the Church of Scotland led a workshop on debunking biases and prejudices hindering social inclusion. They presented two outstanding initiatives (Mentorship programme & Faithful Welcome) to build relationships between host communities and migrants;
