So much fun - and what a great picture!

#Saturn looks rather unfamiliar in this new JWST image from our GTO programme, as atmospheric methane absorbs almost all the sunlight. That makes for an amazing contrast with the icy rings, which look resplendent... so many details and structures, and this is just the beginning!

Yesterday we celebrated the life of a late colleague with the first George Fraser Memorial Lecture since 2019.

Kindly hosted in the National Space Centre, Ken Sembach from Space Telescope Science Institute took us on a journey of discovery with the #jameswebbspacetelescope .

Ken’s talk will be followed by presentations from University of Leicester researchers Dr Sarah Casewell and Henrik Melin who are working with the Webb Telescope.
