Context is everything. This so-called climate plan was released on Apr 19, 2023 - two weeks before the May election.

Any serious climate plan requires targets. You cannot pay off your mortgage without a payment plan.

We need targets and a serious implementation plan #ableg

BC has now:

✅ Legalized apts near transit

✅ Begun re-legalizing top quality 1-stair floorplans

✅ Legalized fire-resistive mass timber up to 18 stories

All on top of North America's largest fully automated metro.

This is our continent's highest-performing government today

The federal tri-council research funding agencies (NSERC, SSHRC, & CIHR) are among the most prestigious & sought after in Canadian academic circles. If this law applies to those, you may as well shut down AB's universities b/c no one will want to work at them.

Interestingly, the Fair Deal Panel argued forcefully against the type of law the Government of Alberta introduced today.
