Imagine being able to go to a police station & not be at risk of further harm. Imagine not being at risk of being criminalised yourself (the sheer fucking irony of that, given that it has now been established by the courts that Lehrmann is a rapist)

But, ignoring the harm caused by police to victim-survivors, imagine being able to turn up to a police station as a woman every time you had safety concerns. Just think of what police stations across the country would look like at any given time of the day.

A significant portion of the victim-survivors I've supported have found police stations to be particularly unsafe places, where they were dismissed, treated with callous indifference & experienced further harm. Seems Lehrmann got quite the opposite treatment.

1. It speaks volumes that a police station is a safe place for Lehrmann.
2. Those volumes are even louder when you look at how police responded.
3. Just imagine what would happen if every woman in Australia 'sought refuge' at a police station whenever they felt unsafe
