Huge solidarity. THIS is how faculty show concern for students' safety. I hope those of us faculty elsewhere can collectively commit to do the same should we need to for our students.
What i really hope, though, is that universities stop sicking the cops on their students. ffs.

UPDATE: Dean Pericles Lewis admits that his email implying Yale student protestors peaceful occupying Grove and College were people with a “known history of violent confrontation with police” was based on NO EVIDENCE and that he was “repeating speculation.”

The group then moved towards Barnard's Futter Field, where faculty members began jumping over the barricade blocking people from entering the area. “Meme us, Tweet us, viral us,” one professor declared.

Seems like what is so alarming to the White House and admins is that the campus repression coordinated with the Israeli state has faltered and students have taken their right to support the Palestinian resistance into their own hands

The protests at Colombia are great & all but this morning a mass grave was uncovered at Al-Nasser Hospital & so far they pulled 210 bodies, some were decapitated, some skinned, some with organs stolen. The protests are meant to draw attention to the genocide, not overshadow it.
