The 'broken' narrative is so terrible. Haiti is broken. Canada consistently ranks near the top of global surveys for quality of life.

Of course we have important problems that need to be fixed, but every country does. But we ARE functioning and capable of fixing them.

Harper was definitely not the 'father of carbon pricing', but this is another example of how modern populist conservatism is so different than fiscal conservatism of not that long ago ..

Nobel Prize- winning Daniel Kahneman. I referenced some of his work on behavioral economics in my Masters paper, and I still see his name regularly. Few economists make as much of an impact.
